DevOps Engineer

Talenza have been engaged by an Australian ASX listed company to find an DevOps Engineer for a greenfield AI implementation. This role sits at the intersection of Infrastructure, IT Operations, AI Development, Security and requires continuous innovation and process improvements to deliver reliable applications and resilient infrastructurec.

This role requires 3 days per week in the Brisbane office and is only open to candidates currently based in Brisbane with full working rights.

• Proven hands-on experience designing, building and maintaining cloud-native platforms across AWS and GCP - experience with both cloud environments is essential.
• Strong cloud engineering and DevOps experience, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform, automation, and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Proficiency in Python for AI engineering and automation, with the ability to write production-grade code and working knowledge of JavaScript for platform integration.
• Experience with containerisation, serverless architectures and observability across distributed systems.
• Ability to support AI-driven platforms and workloads, with exposure to AI platforms, data pipelines or large language models highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of cloud security and DevSecOps, including embedding security practices into delivery pipelines and supporting secure, scalable production environments.
• A self-starter who takes ownership, works effectively in ambiguity and complex environments, and can independently break down problems, iterate and deliver practical solutions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across engineering, data, security and product teams. Financial services experience is preferred but not essential, particularly experience working in regulated enterprise environments.
