GetJobTools gives job seekers and students free tools for every step of a job search: a resume builder with PDF and Word downloads and no watermark, an ATS resume checker, cover letter and letter writers, and salary and notice-period calculators. We also list open jobs and upcoming career fairs across the US, UK, Canada and Australia, each linked to its original source.
The role
You will grow our search traffic for the tools, guides and list pages. You will read Search Console every week, find the pages Google crawled but did not index, and work out what each one needs: better intros, stronger internal links, cleaner titles or a page merged into another. You will plan new guides from the queries we already rank for, brief the writer, and check drafts for original wording and sourced facts. You will keep an eye on structured data, Core Web Vitals and indexing, and report what moved and why in a short weekly note to the founder.
What we're looking for
- Two or more years of hands-on SEO on a content or tools site, with results you can describe.
- Comfort with Search Console, a crawler and a spreadsheet; you can read a log and a sitemap.
- An eye for original, plain writing and for thin pages.
- Basic HTML and an understanding of JSON-LD, canonicals and robots rules.
- A plus, not required: experience with job boards, career content or AdSense sites.
