We're currently looking for a confident, customer-focused Sales Representative to join a well-established business in the building and steel industry.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in hardware, trade retail, tools or customer service who is ready to step away from the shop floor and build a career in B2B and road-based sales.

You'll work across a combination of branch-based and customer-facing activity, with the majority of your time spent building relationships and meeting customers on the road.

About the Role

As a Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for developing strong customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities and providing excellent service to a range of commercial clients.

Your day will involve:

• Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers

• Visiting customers and potential clients across Sydney

• Identifying sales opportunities and growing existing accounts

• Providing excellent customer service and product advice

• Developing knowledge of the company's product range

• Working collaboratively with internal teams

• Managing your day independently while remaining focused on sales and customer outcomes

The role is Monday-Friday, with an 8-hour working day and a typical start time of 7:30am or 8:00am.

What We're Looking For

You don't necessarily need previous road-sales experience. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, personality and customer-facing experience who is ready to take the next step.

You could be a great fit if you're currently working as a:

• Retail Supervisor

• Trade Counter Salesperson

• Hardware or Trade Retail Salesperson

• Tools or Trade Salesperson

Experience within hardware, tools, trade retail or similar customer-facing environments will be highly regarded.

Most importantly, you'll be:

• Confident and personable when dealing with customers

• A strong relationship builder

• Sales and customer-service focused

• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently

• Commercially minded with a genuine interest in sales

• Willing to learn new products and industry knowledge

• Comfortable travelling between customer locations

• Looking for genuine career progression into B2B sales
