COSSPP Barnebey Lecture Series with The Honorable Larry Hogan

The College of Social Sciences and Public Policy (COSSPP) presents a Mark and Marianne Barnebey Leadership Lecture Series talk with The Honorable Larry Hogan, on Thursday, November 19, at 3 p.m., with a reception following at 4 p.m. in the ASLC Theatre Lobby.

Larry Hogan is a two-term former governor of Maryland and a proud FSU graduate. He earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from FSU in 1978, where his interest in government, public service and problem solving helped shape a career defined by leadership in both the private sector and public life. Hogan was elected governor of Maryland in 2014 and was reelected in 2018. During his two terms, he focused on economic development, fiscal management, infrastructure and crisis response. In 2019, he was elected as chairman of the National Governors Association, where he launched an initiative on infrastructure and represented governors from across the country.Hogan left office in 2023 after serving two terms. His career in public service reflects a longstanding focus on bipartisan collaboration, strategic communication and solving complex challenges.
