About this event

This introductory workshop will introduce attendees to algorithmic bias and explore how biases can emerge when AI systems are trained on incomplete or unrepresentative data. Through real-world examples, such as biased hiring tools and facial recognition technologies, participants will learn how algorithms work, where these biases can develop, and how they can affect individuals and communities. This session is part of the Artificial Intelligence workshop track.
