DESCRIPTION:Join us online for a discussion about how the GW Columbian Co
 llege's Master of Arts in Philosophy and Social Policy can take your care
 er to the next level.\n\nAbout the Program\n\nGW’s MA in Public Policy 
 with a concentration in Philosophy and Social Policy addresses questions 
 of public policy from a humanistic perspective. Through small classes\, s
 tudents apply the normative\, historical and logical tools of philosophic
 al inquiry to today’s policy issues. And through case studies\, they an
 alyze the underlying concepts and implications of policies relating to we
 lfare programs\, access to health care\, the environment\, health and saf
 ety\, human rights and equal opportunity.\n\nWhile most policy programs t
 rain students to be quantitative analysts\, our program emphasizes an int
 erdisciplinary approach. In addition to philosophy and policy material\, 
 MA students choose from a wide variety of courses in the Trachtenberg Sch
 ool of Public Policy and Public Administration (TSPPPA) and interact clos
 ely with graduate students from all over the university. Many pursue inte
 rnships in think tanks and government agencies\, often leading to full-ti
